About the Industrial Unit Mandate |

Industrial unit has been established by Ministerial decree No 33/2004 |
|||
|
The Ministry of State for Environmental Affairs (MSEA) has established an Industrial Unit, Decree No 33/2004 on February 2004 within Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA) under the Director of Environmental Management Sector (EMS) which will continue all Egyptian Pollution Abatement Project (EPAP) activities. |

Tasks |

| . | The unit will coordinate with local and international stakeholders on industrial pollution abatement activities and projects. | ||
| . | It will set industrial environmental policies including different tools aiming at environmental compliance. | ||
| . | It will develop different enforcement procedures such as economic incentives. | ||
| . | It will also promote awareness of environmental management systems and cleaner production. | ||
